Sport: Golf

Australian golf star Brad Smith had always dreamt of being a top professional golfer. He knew the only way to reach the top was to compete week in and week out with the very best. Brad wanted to go to a smaller school in the U.S initially to help him adjust to the culture and daily life. Brad received 100% golf scholarship at a top 5 school in the USA for golf, Indian Hills Community College.

Brad went on to win the individual honours at the NJCAA National Championships. This success allowed Brad to transfer to UAB, where the likes of U.S Open champion Graeme McDowell have also competed. Brad went on to finish his degree at UAB and competed in the NCAA National Championships for golf.

Athletes USA saw how Brad had great golf potential for the professional ranks and was soon signed to Athletes USA PRO. Brad is now competing on the professional tour in Asia and in 2010 competed in co-junction events on the European Tour. In 2011, Brad will be playing on the One Asia and Asian Tours.

College Placement: UC Chico
Sport: Soccer

German superstar goalkeeper Alex Theumer was in a position to turn professional for Bayern Munich FC. Alex had been in the Bayern Munich Junior development squad for over 7 years and was a regular first team contender.

Alex felt he needed to gain an education as a back up plan for later in life. He also saw how the American game was developing everyday with superstars such as David Beckham (LA Galaxy) gaining mega-money contracts and how many college soccer athletes were being drafted to top soccer clubs worldwide.

Alex had no experience of the U.S college recruitment process. He contacted Athletes USA, which is known for being the No.1 Sports Scholarship Agency in Germany and across the world. We invited him to our German office located in Munich and explained how our recruitment process could help him gain a soccer coolege scholarship.

He saw his dream was possible and told us how he would love to play for a team in California. Our team did exactly that and gained a position for Alex at UC Chico in Sacramento California. Not only did we fulfil the requirement of getting Alex into the state of California we also got him into a top 10 ranked soccer college!

Athletic Scholarships USA

Nelleke from the Netherlands has always dreamt of competing in women’s college soccer in America. Nelleke joined Athletes USA in December 2008 wanting to gain a soccer scholarship for the Fall of 2009. Within just 1 week of becoming a member of Athletes USA she gained three 100% scholarship offers.

Nelleke was thrilled and decided to take the scholarship opportunity presented by Western Texas due to their strong international presence and past results. Western Texas is a smaller college than most schools in America, which helps international students adjust to the American college life. Currently Nelleke performances at Western Texas have been fantastic and she is a regular first team pick.
glish Golf Union Team with international caps. He competes to a very high standard and receives top training. But college golf will give him an additional edge over his peers back in the UK due to the fantastic way competitions are setup in the USA. Most College Golf teams have 10-15 athletes, who are required to qualify for 5 spots for weekly tournaments. Athletes will compete in 4 rounds of competitive golf against their team mates. The top 5 golfers make the coming weeks tournament and gives them the opportunity to battle it out again against other Colleges. This continued qualifying process prepares athletes for the pro tours when it comes to making the cut and the ability to handle high pressure situations.

In 2006 Jamaal Smith acquired a 100% basketball scholarship to the University of New Mexico. He followed in his father’s footstep’s, who also competed in Division 1 NCAA Basketball and then went onto professional leagues in the U.S and Europe. It was only natural that Jamaal would follow the same path. Already setting new records for New Mexico, Jamaal has definitely lived up to expectations.

“What can I say, Athletes USA are professionals at what they do. Their team is extremely helpful and they truly cared about my requirements. I’m so happy with the way they dealt with my college recruitment process. I have now decided to join their professional management agency as well. I know I’m in good hands with them.”
